1. Overview & Commitment to Student Privacy

Axiom Homeschool ("we", "our", or "us") provides a private, cloud-synchronized homeschool management operating system. We are committed to protecting the privacy, security, and integrity of families, homeschool students, parents, and educators.

Student Data Ownership: All student learning logs, attendance records, curriculum syllabi, grading rubrics, reading lists, and EFA reimbursement data belong exclusively to the parent or legal guardian who created the workspace. We do not sell, rent, or monetize student personal information.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum necessary information required to deliver homeschooling management, lesson logging, state compliance reporting, and optional multi-device syncing:

• Account & Authentication: When you sign in with Google or Email, we store your email address, display name, and user ID to authenticate your session and sync your family workspace.
• Student Profiles: First name, grade level, avatar customizations, and gamification points (XP, badges, rank). No sensitive government IDs or tracking tags are ever required.
• Academic & Progress Records: Subject titles, completed lesson logs, study hours, book reading lists, grades, and optional parent supervisor notes.
• EFA / Scholarship Compliance: Expense amounts, receipts, categories, and reimbursement statuses entered manually by the parent supervisor for state funding accounts.

3. Children's Privacy (COPPA & FERPA Compliance)

Because Axiom is designed for families with children and minors, we strictly adhere to the standards of the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA):

• Children cannot create independent public profiles or share personal contact data publicly.
• Student profiles are created and supervised exclusively by the parent or educator.
• All student-to-parent messaging and alerts remain private to your authenticated household or family code.
• Parents maintain the right to view, export, or permanently delete all student logs and profiles at any time.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is encrypted in transit using industry-standard Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.3/HTTPS) and encrypted at rest within secure Google Cloud Run and Firebase Firestore database infrastructure.

Axiom also provides complete local-first caching, allowing you to log lessons and manage schedules offline with automatic secure synchronization when an active connection is restored.

5. Third-Party Services

We only use trusted, enterprise-grade cloud providers for core infrastructure:

• Google Firebase & Google Cloud: Authentication, encrypted cloud database storage, and hosting.
• Google Gemini API: Optional parent-directed AI features (such as automated syllabus generation and weekly narrative report draft synthesis). No student data is used to train public foundation models.

6. Data Deletion & Rights

You have the complete right to export your homeschool records (via CSV/JSON backup in System Settings) or completely erase your entire workspace data using the "Reset & Erase All Workspace Data" function in Settings.
